County Campaign Toolkit

County Campaign Toolkit

Extension agents and community organizers can use a County 10% Campaign for local food education efforts in their county. Agents can tap into the marketing and promotion platform and local food data tracking software of the statewide NC 10% Campaign. By utilizing existing templates and strategies included in the toolkit, agents can easily run a local food campaign that fits into their existing extension work and that assists consumers, farmers, and businesses in their counties.

Agents and organizers can choose from various levels of county campaign programming, or can complete all strategies. Strategies are listed below, from minimal effort/cost to most involved:

1. county 10% logo, sticker, hashtag, simple social media promo

2. county local food brochure

3. county local food webpage on the NC 10% Campaign website

4. social media contest

5. press & media packet

6. farmer profiles (photos, transcribed interviews, and/or videos)
